I saw him fishing jennings on some show fishing there with randy jones,Strike zone i think it was.

mike long is by far the greatest trophy hunter out there. congrats to him and another record fatty. one day i will give him a run for his money. until then mad props to him.

Anyone read this month's issue of Bassmaster Magazine? They highlighted a couple of trophy hunters I had never heard of, but they have resume that would blow your minds... There are more trophy hunters out there than I realized. Mike Long may very well be the best among them. I don't really know.
Butch Brown has caught 600+ bass over ten pounds. Gregg Silks and Todd Holder were two more guys that I had never heard of - not that I'm up on who's who in trophy hunting.
John Kerr, who is Mike Long's tournament partner was also featured.
Great reading if you have access to the magazine.

I also agree that this months big bass articles were pretty interesting. If Mike caught that fish up North, he sure would have a tough time getting it through the ice. 3 minutes fight, Dang he's good. I've had 10lb blue fish fight for atleast 15 minutes.
