I am on staff with River2Sea, and have not fished with a Triple Trout, so I cannot speak to the Triple Trout, but i can tell you about our Wood'n Slither.

It is a slow sinker, a little less than a foot per second. And when the retrieve is aterted, the bait will stay at that depth. It has more of a tail swimming action (as opposed to head action or "S" action) and will swim at any speed.

We list it at 8-inches, but it doesn't seem as big as a Huddleston, so it may be closer to 7" I have even caught a two pounder on the bait, so I think it is a perfect tournament size. I actually can't wait to try it for Shasta, Folsom and Oroville spotted bass.

I have really only started using it heavily in the past month, but have been totally happy with its ability to swim at high or low speeds, and any depth. One feature I like is that you can make this bait turn around with a little snap of the rod tip; it almost appears to be looking around for predators.

The paint is a thirty layer process that includes a foil finish. I personally like the Stock Trout Color for lakes with kokanee or a heavy trout stocking program, but would use Rainbow Trout at other lakes. The hitch will of course be taken with me to Clear Lake this month, but would serve as a good shad or kokanee color if need be. We also have Ayu and Golden Shiner Colors

The tail is made of Super plastic, but at $69 retail, also comes with a replacement tail.
