Two things I would like but cant find anywhere, maybe somebody here can tell me where to get them.

A rod bag that extends to nine feet. We all have alot of money invested in our rods and reels. I drive to the lake with my swimbait rods in the back of my truck and poking through the slider window. Sure would be nice to have a protective bag around them.

With the rods poking through the sliding window, it sure makes a long drive miserably having that wind come through and hitting me right on the neck. Recently I figured out if I stuff my sleeping bag in the window it keeps the wind off my neck, but thats a short term solution. Im thinking of building some sort of foam insert that the rods can poke through. This would protect the rods, keep the wind out, and keep the noise down. Has anybody tried this yet.

Just some ramblings on a Sunday when I cant go fishing.

I've used sweatshirts. Nico has been known to use socks. Never have thought of anything more clever than that. The sweatshirt, if you stuff it in there good, does cut down most of the noise.

I have rod socks from Cabelas I bought several years ago for fly rods that are a touch over 9ft.
