Yes, you may have seen it before, but these photos from a link Andy Parsons once put up have helped me immensely in getting those hooks out of the throats of many bass I've caught. I used to cut my hooks & leave 'em in there, but I always felt it probably wasn't going to save the fish (even if it swam away vigorously). I don't do that anymore, since this method works so much better, & isn't all that hard to do -- nor can I recall a case where it didn't work for me.
This 'roll-the-hook-out' technique is surprisingly effective! I'm often amazed at how the hook just slips out, even with a gnarly barb seemingly embedded in the throat tissue. Y'gotta give this a try!
