31704, Federation meetings get interesting

I copied this off westernbass.com, just posting for club to read.

Well here's some of the latest scoop on the Federation meetings currently going on in Florida.

Irwin Jacobs meet with federation presidents and apparently put a generous offer on the table in his presentaiton. Details to come soon.

Presidents riding the fence about BASS affiliation were likely knocked off that fence yesterday when BASS officials informed them that all chapter bylaws were no longer valid and that the business of the federation would be run by BASS in the manner that they choose. All clubs have now had their bylaws revoked.

Today BASS officials actually called in security during their meeting with federation presidents. Apparently a problem started during roll call at the meeting. BASS had apppointed a new president for the Pennsylvania State Bass Federation. Previously Pennsylvania was the first state to come out against BASS and affiliate directly and solely with TBF, Inc. When it was time to call upon the Pennsylvania president BASS officials called upon their own appointee and not the state president who was also in attendence. The remaining presidents apparently immediately called for an executive meeting and BASS officials denigned them that special meeting. Sources tell me that Don Rucks and Gary Jones were nose to nose with some federation presidents when they called for security to come in a break up the mess.

More details to follow. Gary Bradford and others will be on Keith Nighswonger's internet based radio show tomorrow at 8:30 pm CST and you can listen on the internet at http://www.probassanglers.com/.

Funny thing is I got my FLW card in the mail today, I'm ready to go either way ;)
