14629, Guess the winning weight
Posted by Chris, Wed Apr-30-03 05:31 PM
No prizes involved unless someone has something in mind.(John - Paul?) I just thought it might be fun to have a go at it.
Weight guesses are in pounds & ounces.
My prediction is this; The spawn is happening late this year. If we get a good stretch of warm weather to coincide with the good moon phase, it's gonna take a lot more weight to win than it did last year. So I'm gonna say it'll take...

32 lbs 8 ozs to win. :D

NEXT!

and will say 38.95. Last year was a fluke and the experience in both clubs keeps growing. We're also going to have a resident Clear Lake angler there and I'm planning on doing well. Go, big, go hard and FISH ON!

All so nice to catch a limit of “Squeekers!”

Thanks Chris, can't wait to take a look
of what idea for the logo you came up with.

Speaking of Logos – Would you be so kind in sending me
The BNT Logo in a EPS format (High Resolution) file?

Thanks Budd

Thirty even.

I live in Bakersfield and hope to make it to the open next year.

I fished my first tube tourney at Nacimento last weekend. Didn't do
well to say the least.

Spawned out spots were what everyone was catching.

Winning weight for a limit...........5.5 pounds.:o

What tournie was at Naci?

It was the first for the North Kern Float Tubers.

I'm the guy who e-mailed you a couple of weeks ago asking how to start a club.

I just haven't thought to e-mail you again about how it turned out.

There ended up being nine of us plus one kid. I'm thinking that there is only about 13 or 14 current members. Most of which have known each other for quite a while. It was a good time.

If you want to know more, e-mail me at tgulley@wellheadinc.com

Good to hear glad things appear to be coming together. If you like you can post tournament results and stuff for all to read as well as up and coming events. Let me know if you need any help

Really good to hear of another club. Keep us posted of future events. I'm sure a few of us may be able to make it to one of your events and maybe you to ours. I'm especially interested in Lake Isabella and Lake Success. Good luck with the club.

Sounds great. I'm not sure how that would work if we wanted to fish each others tourneys. Our next tourney is at Success the last Saturday of this month. The guys in charge of the club decided against having any events at Isabella. There are only three lakes on our schedule this year. Success, Kaweah, and Nacimento. Maybe next season they'll add more lakes. There aren't many lakes that allow tubing down here.

Cool, another club!
Are any of you guys gonna make it to the Open?
14715, RE: Guess the winning weight
Posted by fish24, Mon May-05-03 06:15 AM
None of the guys in our club knew about the Open. The president of the club wanted to go when heard about it though. His parents own a tackle shop that used to be there at Clear Lake named Lakeport Tackle. They have moved their operation down here to Bakersfield. Hopefully next year some or all of us can make it up there for the Open.

Just to let you guys know down there, well first off its great to hear of another club here in the state, for a while i thought it would be the san jose guys and us in the SCBBBC up in sonoma county. the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club along with Bass-n-Tubes are having another big event on Clear Lake. It will be a two day event on October 18th and 19th and will be held at Clear Lake State park also. It would be great to have some new clubs come and join us for one of these great float tubing events. Keep and Eye on the Forum for upcoming notices about the events. Check in times, rules, etc. Its alot of fun, we get people from all over coming and fishing with us, redding, chico, sacramento, santa rosa, san francisco, san jose, concord, elk grove, San Louis Obispo, and hopefully we will see you guys there. There is a huge raffle on saturday night, free dinner for paid entries along with free dinner for their families. We are raffling off a flowmaster exhaust system, rods from G-loomis, Lamiglass, a Castaic Reel, and alot more. If you have any questions regarding the event feel free to Email me at Fishnmoron@aol.com or post a message here on the Forum. We will also have flyers available within the next month on the event and we are more than willing to send some down to you. Keep posting on the forum and let us know your results and post some photos also. Great to hear of another float tube bass club. Good luck, hope to meet some of the guys at our event

Hey Jeff. I'll try and keep you posted. Our club really needs to invest in a digital camera so that we can post some pictures easily. Is it hard to get a website going? That would be cool if we could get one started.

I'm going to let the other guys know about the Clear Lake event. The president of the club's parents use to run Lakeport Tackle up there. He talks about how great the fishing at Clear Lake.

We have a tourney at Success this Saturday. I'll do my best to post some results and pics.

Sam R. I, you're getting pretty rambunctious with all this smack-running. You better keep an eye over your shoulder, Kevin "VanDam"schi may be gaining on you.

Sooo.... Are all you B-n-Ters gonna take all this smack talkin' lying down?
The DELTA Open is just around the corner. There's no excuse now. It's time to fuel the top 10 with a slew of B-n-Ters just to show "who is who" among the NorCal kickboat clubs!!! :D
Don't you let me down. I'm countin' on ya'll to slay the big-dogs.

Or are ya gonna leave it to a Sonoma B-n-Ter to do it for ya??? :o
Time to pre-fish boys, let's git it done!!

I love the smell of burning drag washers in the morning.

Smells like... VICTORY!
