Thanks Steve and John! Just don't forget Mr. Russ Stansbury as he was in the money too!

Also have to give a shout to our Mr. Andy Parsons as he was just ounces shy of making the cut and ended up in 53rd. x(

I'll give you a report soon. Just trying to catch up at work... x(

Congrats to all the tubers for their fine representation at the BASS Shasta event!

The non-boater winner is a bud of mine from the Santa Clara Bass Classics (Izz Byrd). Guess he'll be a boater from now on (in his new boat that he won)!

Russ S. is also in 25th place overall for the Non-Boater Western Division...way to go!

Hey great job guys! Makes guys like my self very jealous. I am really intrested in fishing one of these opens or Pro/ams as a "Non-boater". Unfortunitly, funds are the deciding factor to wether I can make the trip to one or not. Can you give me an idea of the cost to fish one of these?...Lodging, entry fees etc..

Thanks,

Bryan

The BASS Opens are $400 for non-boaters, FLW Everstart is $250. If you can split a hotel room & figure 3 nights, it will cost around $60, maybe a little more. You also should share gas expenses with your pro, which runs $30-40/day. So, as you can see, unless you get a top 10 finish, it's a little tough to break even. It is a great learning experience, exciting, & you have a chance to win a boat.
