25943, White's Slough Directions

I'm in need of driving directions for the event on the 20th :7 I've got this map that you guys gave me earlier. It looks like the I5 North to Hwy 12 West...then what?

If anyone happens to know a physical address anywhere near there, even if it's like 10 miles away. I just want it to give me an idea of how many miles so I'll know how much $$$ I need for gas x(

Yup, Lodi is very close to Whites, that should work for ya. Take Hwy-12 exit and turn left at the stop, go straight ahead for a few miles not sure how many, and Guard Rd will come up on your left, follow guard rd till you see everyone. Good luck!

the map on this link is a lil better and like Dave said Lodi is fairly close.

Thanks guys!

Give or take...it's about 370 or 380 miles. I'll be sleeping in the Yukon Saturday night :-)

Woodsac is the man!!! I live in Sacramento and I still have not made it to an event, you are one devoted kickboat fisherman. Lake, you gotta start a So Cal regon of BnT so woodsac does not use the country's oil reserve driving to the Delta events.

If you had to fish the same water I do, you would drive 400 miles to fish too :P

I'm 4 to 4 1/2 hrs from San Diego, so why not drive an extra couple of hours and enjoy my fishing? And I'll be perfectly honest. This has nothing to do with competition for me. I just want to fish some fun water with other kickboaters! And maybe learn something, other than how to drag a 4 inch worm on the bottom of the lake. Man is that boring x( I wanna FLIP!!!!

Couple more things. Will there be anyone there Sat. night? If not, how far down Guard Rd. Any markers to look for near the launch?

Will launch times be posted later?

So you're going to camp on the levy? I've been debating that or a motel room. The levy is obviously cheaper but not nearly as comfortable. Plus I am not sure I would be comfortable being the only person out there...kind of a no mans land and I don't own a gun!

Anyone else planning on sleeping on the levy both Friday and Saturday night?

Head north from your place...if you go past the place where all the truckers pull over to sleep you've gone too far...exit near the billboard for that motel chain...take a left when you see a mule standing out in the corner of that field (usually)...park where the corn is a little taller than the rest of the corn. :+

In other words, I have no idea, I've never been there either...

Hey Jake, the map you got is good.:) There are a bunch of motels at hwy 12.(if you turn right on hwy 12)right off the freeway. To get to gaurd rd take hwy 5 to hwy 12,turn left on hwy 12.Gaurd rd is up about 1 mile.Turn left( I think there's a sign for gaurd rd)Follow it untile you hit the river and keep going for a little bit. There is a bend in the road with a turn out?I think it's the 2nd one.
If you plan to sleep on the levy please post and me & buzzfish could probably meet ya there. It is out in nomans land and I'm not sure you'ld want to be there alone;( You can always call me on my cell 510-673-5933.:)

I was planning on sleeping on the levy in my truck. Even if there is a spot right off of the main road? I don't have to be all the way at the launch. I just can't afford a motel after the gas :-(

I guess as long as nobody complains, I could sleep in my truck infront of one of the motels? Doesn't matter where I park for the night, but I have to come up Sat. to make it in time for launch.

P.S. you'ld probably be safer on the levy!:o

That's cool!!!

Besides, nobody likes to get mugged alone...right :+ I mean I'd hate to have to attack someone with a handfull of swimbaits :P

I'm not sure what I was thinking of; I'll be out there Saturday night only. I haven't decided 100% but if the weather isn't going to get nasty I can stay out on the levy. I just don't have a covered bed and sleeping in the cab didn't work too well lst time I tried it.

I'll call Swampy later this afternoon and talk it over with him. And while we have not had a problem in the past you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere and there is a handy slough to toss bodies in...so safety in numbers counts for something here!

I might do the sleep overnight too. Depends on the
weather. In any case I should be there and it looks like
we'll be launching on an incoming tide too. High tide
at SF bay is 8:30AM. So high tide at Whites is probably
1hr or so later.

Woodsac, Be sure to bring some of your pincher craws
(especially), and other stuff to sell. I would like to
get some craws, they look great on your web site and I
know some guys use them. I bought some of your reapers
last year at clear lake and they are great.

Jake if it's not to much in having you make-up and bring packs of your plastics.
You make great baits - knowing how it is the hard work making baits
Labor of love
Baits = $$$ = Gas for truck = fishing = :)

MP worms 6"
3 packs of Purple FuBerry
3 packs of Greenish Fuberry
3 packs of Isabell
3 packs of Caramell Apple

I'll bring you money or send money along.
Let me know
Thanks
