I know our next event is in 2 weeks, but I was thinking about driving up and fishing the Delta this weekend.

Coming up the 5, what's the closest place I could launch? I wanna fish Saturday and crash in my truck and fish again Sunday? I know we talked about it earlier, but I think River's End is pretty close? But I know about launching and sleeping.

You know you're addicted when a 5 1/2 hour drive is "close" :+

Jake,I would go to middle river.The barrier is up and the fishing is great! :) You would have to launch down river from the barrier(where the 3 rivers meet at that bend in the road)It's just a short row and then you're up and over the damn.:7 I would'nt want to be anywhere else on the delta this weekend with all the yahoos that are going to be out there!

pps there is a motel 6 in tracy blvd or you can sleep on the levy at the launch site.

Jake - I see that you are hooked on the Delta. The river will do that to you no matter how far you have to travel.I'm thinking on fishing M.R. on Saturday so maybe I'll see you on the water.}(

Boats can still get up there but they would have to come in from the other side(not many folks do,very shallow and dangerous).I will be in the kickboat.and fishing above the barrier.Looks like there will be a few of us up there:7

you got it. I even will launch when there is a guy or two there fishing for catfish they have always been cool to me letting me drop in and then get out of their way.
