What would be the minimum req'mt for transporting our catch -- aeration-wise & such -- back to the weigh-in site?

Jeff,
That's a good point. Of course it IS on the angler for dead fish penalties, but I'd hate to see a bunch of dead fish weighed in just cause a couple people threw their limits in a bucket. Might wanna consider making some kinda rule about this. Whadda ya think John?

I dont think I would want to put a rule in about the topic since in most cases it illegal to do.

Couple of ways to go about this.

The first thing you need is a large cooler. The bigger the better (80 - 100 quart ideal) especially since Clear Lake has some big 'uns around.

For keeping the fish alive:
Buy a submersable pump with a little tubing to keep the H2O airated. You can ask some of the guys from SCBBBC about this.

What I did was, since I already had a converter for the outlet in my vehicle (which run from $30 - $100+) I just bought a simple aquarium pump with 20 feet of tubing and ran a little bubble bar in the cooler. Works great and doesn't cost too much and is not nearly as bulky or expensive as a pump.

Damn I can't remember what it's called. It adds oxygen to the water and calms the fish.
With that stuff all you need is a couple bait bubblers in your cooler and the fish will be fine. Adding a little ice to the water to keep it cool helps as well. It also adds a little oxygen as it melts.
