I'm looking for some ideas on what others have done for getting their boats to the water. I had done quite a bit of reading posts and research before I made a selection. I bought a Colorado knowing it was on the heavy side. I wanted the size, but could not justify going with the top guns. I'm happy with the boat. I just want to gear up at the truck first. I hate carrying stuff back and forth to the truck. I tried the handtruck method, but it's a bit of a balancing act. I've seen wheels on the market. I'm one to build something for $50 instead of just buying it for $30. Smart huh? I dabbled a little with the front forks from a kids bike, but they were quite tall enough. Love to hear some ideas.

I don't usually have to go that far to launch my boat, so this has yet to be a problem. But there are some places I would like to access and the only way would be to haul all my stuff down to the water which would take multiple trips back and forth. So I was thinking about this same question, I have something in mind (and it is close to the wheel barrel method) Buy one of the utility wheels from home depot thread PVC onto each end of the wheel hub then using a hose clamp, clamp the ends of the PVC to the foot pegs of the boat. lift the back of the boat from the ends of the pontoons.
