33709, Clear Lake Open Check-in/weigh-in info
Posted by FIT, Tue May-09-06 06:18 AM
Bass-N-Tubes is holding its second Open event of the year at Clear Lake May 20th and 21st. We will be doing 2 separate launch locations, each location will have its own scale and 2 BNT Staff members will be running the show at these locations. Location #1 is M&M Campground in the Clear Lake Keys. M&M is also where the raffle and awards and draw will take place. Location #2 is Redbud Park Lakeshore Drive in the City of Clearlake.

Staff on hand: Myself and Steve Williams will be doing check-ins and weigh-ins for spot #1 on day 1 and spot #2 for day 2. Mitch Teman and Chris Zelenka will be doing check-in and weigh-in for spot #2 for day 1 and spot #1 for day 2. Mitch and I will put the day 1 results together for all to see Saturday night.

Early Check in and the Draw: We will be checking people in from 5-8pm Friday May 19th at M&M Campground in sites 10 and 11. If you can not make it to the Friday night check in but plan to fish the event let us know so we can add you to the list and put you in the draw.

If we get a large number of participants to pre-register for this event on the forum we will draw a number to split the field at noon on Thursday 5/18/06. We will then make a post on the forum letting people know what the split is and where you can expect to be fishing at on Saturday.

Everybody must still come to the campground and register Friday 5/19/06, or no later than 4:30 AM Saturday morning. No money will be collect in the morning except at M&M campground, so if you show at redbud without priori to checking in at M&M you will have to return to M&M to pay tourney fees.

For those who do not pre-sign on the forum and sign in at the campground, we will split those people Friday night after the official registration has been completed.
Everyone please keep in mind that when you pre-signed on the roll call list here on the forum and are getting a ride with someone, it would be a good idea to be sure we have your names next to each other so you will have a ride to Redbud the day you fish there.

The draw will decide where you are fishing what day. Everyone will fish Redbud one day and M&M the other day. We will be doing the draw by boat # (example: if there are 60 anglers and we draw boat # 40, this would mean boat #s 40-9 would fish my group and boat #s 10-39 would fish with Mitch’s group)

Check-in time Saturday morning will be at 5:30am at both locations and we will be launching no later than 6 am. If you were unable to check in Friday night you will need to be at M&M Saturday morning at 4:30 to get your boat # and give you time to go to Redbud in case that's where you’re fishing location is for day 1.

Check in time for Sunday will be at 5:30 at both locations.

Weigh in times: Day 1 weigh-in will be at 3pm and day 2 weigh-in will be at 1pm at both locations.

Entry fee's are as follows:
$25.00 to enter pays 1 in 5 spots by total weight for the 2 days combined.
Options are as follows: $5.00 per day for Big Fish this pays 1st and 2nd place 60/40 split per day.

Side notes: BNT doesn't allow running but if you would like to put you boat in somewhere else and fish your way back to the weigh in area that's ok, but you must have your boat with you at the official check in time and you will have to leave the same time as everyone else.

Raffle: We will be having the raffle at approximately 6pm Saturday, tickets will be $1.00 each and sales will begin at 5pm. We have a huge list of great sponsors again this year, be sure to check out the BNT Pro Kickboat Open link and visit there sites. We will be raffling off the grand prize this year by boat# to ensure an angler fishing the event gets the grand prize, but as always we will have plenty of stuff to go and throw around

This is the event you don't want to miss, come out and join us.
