Congrats also to all the top finishers along with the new guys who came out to play in the suffocating sun and humidity! 24+ lbs took it with 18.9 something in 2nd and 3rd 16+...

I stayed in County Park and made my way around Corinthian (sp?) Bay only getting one fish in the 3lb range on a senko. The heat was getting to me and I needed some shade so I headed to Shirley Slough where I saw Deren kicking back and relaxing.

The fun began just as I was about to enter as I hit my 2nd keeper on a trap right outside the slough. From then on out it was Deren catching one then I would follow and vice versa for most of the rest of the evening! Binh and Scotty joined the show and it seemed like there was always someone with a fish on but Deren stole the show in there with a great streak of fish coming around 7:30-8pm. The majority of my fish came on senkos and traps with a few others on different baits and all fish seemed to be in the 2-3.5 lb range for me.

Overall a very fun but hot day on the water and wish I could have gotten a few larger fish but that is the name of the game. 15.57 and 6th place (just in the $$$) is not bad either ;)
