6. All vessels must have a livewell - no stringers or metal fish baskets allowed.

Minimum livewell requirements are:
a. - Kickboats using oars must have an out of the water livewell.
b. - A 350 GPH minimum bilge pump is to be used for refreshing out of water livewells with fresh lake water.
c. - Out of water livewells must use an aerator.
d. - Livewells must be constructed from a minimum 10 gallon container.
e. - Float tubes and kickboats without oars may use mesh style fish baskets that have a full frame to ensure that the bag will not collapse around the fish while moving.

Please make sure you have a tournament approved livewell before you show up at the ramp on the 26th.

For BnT members fishing the travelers region this is also a points event for AOY and TOC spots.

Mitch,

Are Kayaks allowed to use "Follow me Bag" Type livewells? I have someone that fishes from a Yak that wants to fish it. Or.....Maybe Gordon could add to this?

Thanks,
Bryan

The way the rules are written only float tubes or kickboats not using oars can use a follow mw bag. In this case a Kayak would need to have an out of water livewell since they need the paddle to move.
I know Gordon has a 10 gallon rubbermaid container that he uses as an out of water livewell that doesn't upset the balance of his yak too much.

I sent you a PM with more info.

OK, just so I can get a clear understanding on this: 'if' you'll accept my configuration under your so-called 'follow-me bag' restrictions (big 'if,' I'm sure), you're not going to let me use my oars, even though my time-tested cage setup has proven its effectiveness over the past 10+ years?

I just don't understand why you don't build an out of water livewell and be done with it. More than one person has volunteered to help you build one or even build it for you. You are the only person that has expressed any displeasure with the new rule.

I sent you a PM we can discuss it some more if you like off line.

Because, as I've said before, a 10-gallon, above-board bucket puts me over the weight limit on my kickboat. I prefer not to sacrifice my own safety for some supposed advantage for the fish (of which I've lost maybe 2 or 3 over the past 10+ years with my hanging mesh cage).

Yes, you will need to pay for parking and/or cartop launching or whatever it is Coyote park charges.

Everyone please make sure you pay all park dues before check in just to be sure you don't have a nasty surprise waiting for you under your wiper blade afterwards.
