Very Proud! You're an inspiration to all young people and young fishermen. You should be proud to have accomplished what you have, and what you will accomplich in the future. I'm honored to know you.

You had company. Swampy and I went out Friday launching at Sugar Barge and I never caught a keeper. Only fish all day was a short crankbait fish caught at Mildred's. We tried everything we could think of except maybe brush hogs.

We ran into one of the FLW guys from Idaho (?) who was very, very unhappy about having made the drive to fish water as tough as it was. We tried to tell him that the bite had been screwed up all year but he just wanted to complain. Not really in a bad way or anything but he sure was frustrated!

LOL, I guess I would be upset too if I came all the way from Idaho!

Yeah, we ended up getting a little lucky/unlucky at the end of our day. I got 2 nice fish in a one hour stretch (9:15-10:15) by punching some nice weeds in Middle River (4.4 and 3.5) but then it absolutely died for us except for one small keeper 13 1/16"! With 20 minutes to go I broke off a nice one punching some other weeds (it looked somewhere between 4-6 lbs...I should have replaced my old braid!) but then lucked out and got 2 keepers with less than 10 minutes to go for weigh-in. We ended with 12.44 and only needed 13.5 lbs to get in the money. That one fish would have vaulted us to 3rd or 4th! Instead we ended in 15th or something like that.

I don't think I ever worked that hard for my fish! Sorry to hear it was tough for you too! I hope this Delta turns around soon...

Chris...you are a SUPER STAR for kicking bass on such a tough delta bite!!!
