Went to local lake yesterday. Had a pretty good day. But a fishing report without pictures is just another fish story. So I guess that's what this is.

Here's a report...sorta. Pics on Facebook. Files too big for this little website.

On water around six.
First stop Jail. Catch 10 or so in first hour.
Move off to next spot and catch about 6-8 more.
Keep moving and keep catching.
Lots of 3 and 4 pounders.
Nothing less than 2 pounds. Two 5 pounders.
Found camera later and started taking pictures.
Caught fish all day.
Off water at three.
Forty plus fish for the day.

That Saturday prior to tournament at Salt Spring is no longer "Best Day Fishing Ever"!!

I can find no pics on Facebook.

You need to post pics!

You need to re-size your pics to post them here. 600 pixels wide fits the window fairly well, and reduces the files size to less than 200KB usually, then they are OK to post on the forum.

Here's one of 15 that I could resize small enough to get on.

Speaking of irrelevant reports... Sorta. Didn't want to post due to a up coming Sonoma derby I was thinking about fishing in.

Kings island, 1 fish going into the last 15 minutes.
Lucky cast at the bridge on my way in produced a 5.6.
Two casts to 5 casts later a 3+ Around the bridge.
Good enough to bump me up to 4th, which earned me 5 valuable AOY points that I eventually gave back in the next event.

Moral of the story.
Fish hard until the end and have fun while doing it.
Including the first day of beacon.
That makes 3 tournaments in a row that I caught fish in the power hour that made a huge difference.

Side note.
Didn't end up making it to the Sonoma event.
Boat issues.
Turns out Matt Nyri won it, catching most all his fish off of the bridge.

Holy Smokes, Steve. What a day! Geez, there must be a 1000 plus Steve Williams on Facebook....could not find YOUR site. BTW, I was thinking of maybe heading up to Melones this Tuesday. Don't know yet...just thinking about it. Not supposed to be too hot, I think. Even if I get up early, say around 4 to 5 a.m., it takes me a little while to get myself together and over an hour to get up to Glory Hole. Then when I get there, it takes more time to get my boat in water, and fishing gear, etc. I use my trolling motor, and also with the frameless boat, I think it takes more time and effort to get set up and ready to go.

Last time I went up there, I did all that, then went to hook up the power to the motor, only to find that it had somehow got broken, and I could not use it. Was really a bummer. I went out anyway with just the oars, but the wind blew me off badly and I left after a few hours of frustration. Had to take the motor to repair guy and get it fixed.

Anyway, if you are interested, or anyone else, just let me know and we'll see what we can work out. If you want to go somewhere else nearby, just let me know. I don't care where, if it is not too expensive, I just want to catch fish.

Regards,
Philip Keyser
