Wow was Nacimiento interesting this last weekend. Rain on Friday turned to partly cloudy conditions on Saturday and bluebird skies on Sunday. The lake is almost full, the color of chocolate milk, and there is floating debris everywhere. Lake temps varied from about 52-53 in the mornings to about 57 degrees by the afternoons.

The seventeen anglers that made the trip to Naci for the first event on the BnT 2017 calendar also found fish with lockjaw, for the most part. Zero limits were weighed in for this tournament and only 22 fish came to the scale over the 2 days.

Oscar Baeza had the big bag on day 2 with 3 fish, that when added to his one fish from Saturday, took the victory with a total weight of 5.37 pounds.
Second place went to Jeff Wilson who also brought 3 to the scale on Sunday for a total weight of 4.77 pounds for his 4 keepers for the weekend.
Finishing in 3rd place was day one leader Mitch Teman, who blanked on day 2, but managed to bring in 2 fish on Saturday for 3.05 pounds.
Day 1 big fish went to Sal Castro for a 2.49 pound whopper. Day 2 big fish went to Will Robinson who landed a nice 2.39 pound Naci spot.

Great job on the win Oscar! Congrats to everyone else who made it in the money.

Even though the fishing was tough, I had a great time!

Great job to all officers who ran this tournament.

See y'all at the next one!

Robert

Congrats Oscar! Way to keep grinding to catch a couple more, I liked your break down of how you got them. Good job to everyone that placed and caught big fish! See you guys at Mildred.
