The March tournament, originally scheduled for Mildred Island, was moved at the request of the CA DWR, due to high river flows on the San Joaquin river.
So... we went to White Slough instead.

Seventeen anglers met on the levee for the second event of the 2017 season. The weather was good, very little wind, and the tide was lazy, which made for an easy day on the water.
The bite was a little on the tough side but White slough still kicked out some good fish, as usual.

At the scale Sal Castro was the man to beat. Sal weighed in a fat limit for 18.29 pounds to take his first ever win with BnT. Sal anchored his limit with an 8.29 pound fatty and scored himself the big fish money also. This makes it two big fish option pots in a row for Sal. Congrats on the long overdue victory.

Second place went to Max Krieg. Max brought a solid five fish limit to the scale for a total weight of 13.32 pounds.

Steve Lynch would finish up in third place with five for 12.92 pounds, complete with a 6+ kicker.

Next on the schedule is the BnT Clear Lake Open. Due to flooding at Clear Lake this year, we are still not sure where, or if, this event will take place.
Stay tuned to this forum for details as soon as they become available!
