Hey all, My name is Jeremy. I have been living in the Bay Area since January. I came here for an engineering job after 7.5 years in the Navy. My fishing background consists mainly of salt water both in-and-offshore. I pinheaded on a boat out of H and M landing in San Diego and taught myself the basics of largemouth bass fishing during the days I wasn't on the boat working.

Anyways, I have a Fish Cat 4 and a good set of waders and fins/boots on order. I will be picking up a PFD this week. Truth is, I have only used it a handful of times (maybe 10?), both salt water, and freshwater. I'd like to put a lot more time in this thing and get my money's worth. Any chance I can tag along on a trip or any advice you'd give to a newcomer to both the waters and the float tube community? Looking forward to many adventures!:-) :D

Welcome Jeremy,
I think you will find the bass fishing in the bay area much different than San Diego.
There is good to excellent Bass fishing all over the bay area. The south bay reservoirs such as Calero, Anderson and Coyote all have great fishing and big fish too. The delta is close and is a world class bass fishery and Clear Lake is only a couple or three hours away. Close enough for a day trip and when it is on well worth the drive.

Any time you want to see what a Bass-n-Tubes tourney is about just show up at the appointed time. You don't need to join to fish with us for the first time. great bunch of guys and some good sticks too!

Tight lines!

MT
