About the size of Pinto - but clear water. Have heard about good fish being pulled out of here. I will drive up there (or call) to check on things if you'd like.
I have fished it, but only for trout. Haven't been there for bass. But reports are always good in spring.

Josh,
Let's do it! I'm going to be there when it opens at 7 am. I will try to talk Castro into coming also. Did you check out the site to get directions? It's just a few miles east of Galt (Hwy 99) on Hwy 104. Once you see the nuclear salt and pepper shakers, you're there. Follow road past gate and I will meet you at the launch ramp just before you cross the dam. They stock heavily with trout this time of year so bring your trout colored swim baits.
Keep in touch.

If it wasn't the last week of pheasant season, I'd see you guys out there. I will offer you a couple of tips though. Near the dam the depth is about 20ft and always holds fish. But there is another spot with an old underwater dam that is about the best spot on the lake. A 15lber was caught there last year on a rattle trap. And there is an older guy that fishes there 3-4 times a week and he really knows the lake. He's caught a lot of fish over 10lbs, I saw him catch a 12 last year near the dam on a jig. He has a 10ft little white fiberglass boat, if you see him he'll let you know where there bitin. Good Luck, I'll be out there hangin hogs soon. Jerry

Thanks for the advice, Jerry. Sorry you won't be able to make it out this Saturday, but good luck hunting.
