609, I'll be sleeping in my truck...

Yeah, I've done it before, I'll do it again. A hotel room costs more than it's worth, for a trip like this -- besides the fact, I might get too COMFY & sleep in past the wake-up call!!! :-)

Sleeping at the launch site maximizes my sleep-time, AND assures that I'll be there at the right time, without having the stress of trying to time it right in the morning on the road. I've already been ticketed on my way to a BnT event. Hardly makes it worth the trip -- unless of course, I **WIN**!!! :-)

See you da, brah!

So when are you going up?
611, May not leave til 10pm or so...
Posted by jsmith, Fri Nov-10-00 12:00 PM
That would make my arrival at about **midnight** at the launch site, right near the concrete slab that we kick off from. Lots of wide-open parking, so don't worry about that! It's also way down at the end of the road, so there ain't much traffic out there (just maybe some gusty wind).

Gear up, boys (and you might include some **rain gear**, while you're at it)!!! -- j

612, i should be there..........

613, You're finally going to make it???
Posted by jsmith, Thu Nov-09-00 06:06 AM
Alright, Andy! We've been waiting for you! Glad to hear you're going to finally get out & join us! Do you know if Charlie & Max going to make it? They had asked about that map a month or two ago. Have you been in touch with them?

I was hoping I'd get to meet you face-to-face at Fishermen's Warehouse last time through, but Glen said you weren't working that night (about the only night I can ever get there is on Thursdays, when they stay open later).

Anyways, looking forward to meeting you on Sunday -- see you there! -- j

There's a KOA about 5 miles east of I-5 on Eight Mile Rd. It's right before (or just west of) Hwy 99. Wouldn't be far from White's Slough at all (ten minutes). Send your e-mail address and I'll send you a good map.
