Does any buddy have a favorite or a preference in sent additives?
Season: winter ~ spring ~ summer ~ fall.
Night or Day?

For myself I find I use more sent additives in the late fall and deep winter.
I like Kickn'Bass crawdad sent.

I remember a couple of seasons ago where the bass in the hycne would
not let go of a bait dipped in crawdad butter.

But without using sent you would not get bit.?.

In cold water I believe in scent big time. I use either bang real craw or smelly jelly bass feast scent. At that february tournament at Naci I think that the bang scent was the reason I was able to catch fish dragging plastic while other guys were not getting as many. Those little spots would hold on longer with the scent. Without it they were dropping it after hitting it.
In warm water I have not seen as much difference with/without scent. I used to not believe in scent at all but now I will use it especially in tournaments and especially draggin plastic or using jigs.

I believe the primary justification for scents is to mask human odor. As you well know we secrete oils from our skin which tend to get on anything we touch. I don't put scents on fast moving baits (cranks, spinnerbaits, topwaters, etc) but will on slower moving lures like jigs and plastics. I'm also religious about gassing my vehicle the day before and washing my hands throughly before I get on the water. Real Craw is my favorite (because I bought it long ago and have been too lazy to try anything else).
Go with what you have confidence. Confidence is everything!

I prefer Right Gaurd Sport in the original scent, lol:)

OH fishing stuff I do not use any scent for the reason of smell.I do use that oil scent with the sparkel flakes in it i think fish formula makes it in craw scent.I put it in my 1 gallon bag of reapers but not for the scent but for the texture of the plastic to stay soft and slimey

I use it on jigs & plastic mostly. I like the Bang Craw and Shad. I also use an old family recipe my grandfather taught me of anise extract(1 part) and baby oil (2 parts). It may just float off the bait as soon as it hits the water, but it just SMELLS like bass fishin' success to me. I put it in my bags of plastic usually. Then I'll use the Bang stuff on the water.
