I would like to report that the trip we took out on Easter Sunday was a blast. There were lots of fish caught on the surface iron. I caught 3 nice baracuda. It is great when you can watch them follow your bait and then slam it! One I caught was on a St. Croix Premier Graphite 7' heavy that my husband built - that was the most fun to play with. It's great when they jump out of the water right in front of the boat. We also caught some calico bass and sand bass. We saw dolphins, birds working and even a whale. What a fun time we all had. We will be back soon and suggest that you do the same.

Susanne! Thanks for posting the repot =) Susanne was kicking those 'cudas' butts on the iron, it was a blast! Like she said, the fishing was pretty darn fun and everyone was catching cudas with a nice bunch of calico bass mixed in. For whatever reason the bass and barracuda seemed to prefer the iron over everything on Sunday even bait and swimbaits. The Tady 45 and A1 were a good choice in blue/white or green/white. I have to say thanks to captain Jason Diamond (who was out hiking on the islands while we caught all the fish) that that A1 you gave me is pure death! It put 8 cudas and 5 calico in the boat for me. Big thanks to Pete, Susanne, Jordan, and Tom for coming down from Arroyo Grande to get in on this fun fishin, and congrats to Tom who caught the jackpot barracuda. Here's Pete with that fish.
