I went out today on the 3/4 day. Went to Santa Rosa. The ocean was glass all day. Very very good rockfishing. Luke put on a clinic on catching the big reds. The key was a single shrimp fly and a strip of squid fished on the dropper loop. He had many large ones. Several big reds were caught on live squid that we jigged in the morning. There were 12 Sheephead in the mix with the largest being about 20 pounds. Several Lings were hooked on live Mackrel. They were released. The New Bluefin caught three Sea bass on the beach.

Ling Cod season opens this Sunday. The crew is going to try and have live mackrel available for this trip. The boat will fish a 3/4 day trip this Sunday. Get after them.
