Two half day trips today. In the morning there were 20 Calico bass caught along with some rockfish. The Bass were biting the fly line anchovy and there were a few nice ones. There have also been a few white sea bass around and a couple being caught.

The afternoon I took 21 Kids out on a Santa Maria Pal kids trip. They had a very good time. Most had never been on a boat before. They caught variuos shallow water rockfish up the coast. Most being Browns with a few Johnny Bass and others mixed in. They had about 4 around. There were a few that caught a limit. One returning 16 year old did very well catching a nice limit. The JP was caught by a first time angler. He had a 4 poundish Salmon Grouper. His prize was a Stardust T-shirt. The little kid wanted an adult XL so it"would last forever". That is what a kids trip is all about. Luke cooked about 35 cheeseburgers and Jason got rid of all his Cheetos. All in all a very nice day on the Stardust.
