818, Apollo Overnighter April 4, 2008 Posted by Burgundy Shawn, Sun Apr-06-08 04:39 PM
22 anglers on an overnighter fished San Miguel Island caught 220 Rockfish, 18 Lingcod, 1 Halibut, 5 Bocaccio, 4 Sculpin, 3 Sheephead, one of which was 23.6 lb, and a few white fish.
I apologize to anyone whom feels this miss categorized. The Stardust shares its home with the Apollo so can we.

Shawn, is the boat usually chartered or is it open party? Is it limited to 22 people? What time does it leave and come back?
Thanks -Jake

The low down on the Apollo
The Apollo is a San Diego carter boat that berths at Sea Landing in Santa Barbara Harbor from March first to May 15 yearly. They occasionally have open party trips bookable thru the landing at 805-963-3564. From what I know there are no current open party trips officially on the schedule. The April 4th trip was sponsored by Fishrapnews.com and Berkley and made open party with there support. I did fortunately over hear Capt. J.J. Gerritsen and the sponsors eagerly discussing the possibility of doing another open party on a Friday before the return to Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. May 2nd is the only Friday open on the schedule.
There is a fish count for 4/5 on their site.
