I personally prefer the 805 for DD-22's, Bandit 700's, and other deep running baits. Even as a 5 power rod there is an incredible amount of flex! And yes, I also double the rod for topwaters. Throwing the spook, sammie, and some larger popppers has worked really well as they have a heck of a time throwing the trebles with that rod!
