Strong Red Ayu was an original color for Monster Jacks that was popular in Japan. I'm not sure it was supposed to represent anything, aside from what you said Rob, as something just different.

I can tell you this, the bass at Castaic have been smoking the Pearl White MS Slammer color at night. Last weekends FOCL event saw us going 1 for 3 on it, but two weeks before we had 6 or 7 bites on it. Not bad for a heavily pressured lake. Plus it so much easier to direct the white plug as you cast, I can see it fly through the air even in pitch black conditions. Majorly important, as the only bites you get there are when the bait runs inches from the steep banks.

P.S.- Sorry for the edit. Hard to spell CASTAIC after a couple o' Guinesses..LOL
