Seth and I fished today from 11 to around 3:30. When we pulled up I was looking in the water by the docks<BR> and saw some small bass. Next thing I noticed some nicer ones out deep so I cast out a 4" FIT plastics<BR> greenie weenie and was bit on the second cast by a nice fish. Unfortunately it shook off and we couldn't get<BR> the other cruising bass to bite. So we got in my boat and headed up to fish in some of the small coves across<BR> and up from Salsipuedes bay. Rather than go on on and on, we saw a gangload of 2-3 pound bass in veeerry<BR> shallow water. They were spooky and some were on beds. Seth and I both had follow ups on rapalas, and<BR> Seth got one to bite on a true motion lure. YES you heard that right, Seth has the true motion lure and it<BR> actually has pretty decent action. I for one was laughing my ass off but the thing did seem to work. Anyway<BR> it was tough despite the numbers of fish that we saw. I got a two pounder on a greenie weenie in<BR> Salsipuedes and had a blowup on the moss master frog but that was it. We came back to the marina and<BR> caught a trout each, and I pulled a crappie out of one of the trees. My take on the whole scene up there is<BR> that we've had a fickle spring that hasn't wanted to get started. This week it finally got warm, which caused<BR> the bite to go nuts on Monday but after that the fish went straight to their beds and started spawning.<BR> That's were they are now and we'll see how it goes from there. Finesse is where it's at for now.
