#14690, "PB out of Berkley flats"

Fished out of Berkley flats and around Alcatraz/Treasure Island Sunday in Almost white cap conditions. Fishing out of a 17ft center console, Me and my older bro's decided to drift frozen chovys in 16ft of water. We figured the 4 inch live chovys they had for sale at Berkly marina wasn't big enough. To makes the long story short . My brother Bird got a 21 inch short and a 24inch keeper hali. I get back to back strikes, each time pulling up just a head of the chovy. Its amazing the darn fishs managed to snatch 90% of my bait and not get hooked by my trap hook. Frustrated, I eagle eyed my rod and paid really close attention to the irregular bounces from the drift. I get a 22inch striper and a personal best halibut at 33inches. All in all had a fun day fishing out of the usual and catching fish with family. Oyster Point has been tough with all this wind kicking up the mud. Berkley was choppy but at least the water was clearer.

Quick cool story....Me and birdy fished Oyster point Saturday 5/30 out of the small boat. I threw the swimbait the whole 6 hours and didnt get touched once. Looking around I see birds busting about a mile away.

Stripers has to be right under them right? It didnt take long before bird get a good one to clamp onto his 1oz Kastmaster.
