#189, "Big Lure Theories"

My wife says I have a theory for everything and of course fishing is the main source of them. So my theory for this weekend is going to be to use big baits. It's going to be a big weekend. Saturday Brian #1 and I are fishing with Larry Heron and Larry is going to to show us a thing or two about calico bass fishing. So my theory is to use 6 and 7" big hammers because I believe that in the middle of the summer during the peak feeding times of the year fish, no matter what kind, are looking for a big meal.
On Monday Matt Peter's and I are hooking up at Santa Margarita. You all know about me and Margarita and what I know about Margarita is that it can be tough as nails this time of year. So my theory is going to be the same as when we go calico fishing. I think that the fish are looking for a BIG meal. Tied on my rods are going to be a 12 inch MS Slammer, some 6" big hammers, and the Mann's 30+ I have been itching to try.

So these are my theories and predictions. We'll see what reality is come Tuesday!
