Um what about squid, LOL
Squid is kind of hard to beat. You might get bit fishing a white jig like a tady 4/0 or even a tady 45. The glow backs are supposed to be good. But really, break down and bring some squid, even if it's dead and put it on your jig, or fish a whole squid on a 3/4oz leadhead.

Do you think those fish are close enough to get them from a tube? I don't know the scoop on the Monterey thing.
