The 2017 Delta Open is in the books and 22 anglers met up at 'Dan's Delta Outdoors' in Oakley CA to check in and enjoy a little pre tourney BBQ of burgers and dogs.
It was a hot weekend and fishing the was OK for some, and for some it was great.
In the end it was Taylor Capilla who was the man to beat. Taylor was the lone angler to bring a limit to the scale both days and ended up with 20.54 pounds to take the win. Second place goes to Sal Castro who weighed in a respectable 17 pounds even for 2 days of fishing. finishing in third place is Max Krieg with 16.51 pounds. Max also scored the day one and tournament big fish with a fat 5.29 pound bass. Taking the final paying spot was Michael Alaga with 15.35 pounds. The day 2 big fish money was awarded to Joey Allen with a nice 3.32 pound delta bass.
Thanks to Dan Mathisen and "Dan's Delta Outdoors" for his support, and thanks to all the anglers who showed up to fish.
