Today I went on the first of my two charters aboard the Stardust. We had 20 anglers with us. They were a combination of friends and members of my church. We were also honored with two gentlemen that read about the charter on the forum. They were a nice addition to this trip.

We loaded with nice anchovies and headed for the Ventura flats were some really nice Sandbass fishing has been. The Stardust arrived at the fishing grounds in about two hours.

The Barracuda and bass began biting right away. The barries were all legals up to about 8 pounds. They bit on bait, Iron, and plastics. The bass bit off and on all day. These were some of the nicest Sandbass I have seen in several years. They were all nice, big and fat. Several in the 3-5 pound range. They alkso bit a variety of baits. Chovies, Squid strips, several on Iron and plastics.

We ended with about 125 sandies and 45 Barracuda, and finally no Rockfish.

Jason, Billy and Chas provided excellent service, great laughs and we cant wait to go again.
