#650, "Fishing Update Regulation Changes"

Good news the rockfish regulations have been amended. As of April 16, 2005 boats can fish from 0' to 360' depths. I spoke with Jason today. With the revised regulations he can now fish in a more traditional manner. He has the options of looking for surface fish, bass etc. and still fish rockfish if need be. Prior to 4-16 he could not fish in waters shallower than 240' if he kept a rockfish. Any rockfish caught in the shallow water had to be released. This should open the doors for good fishing and the oppertunity to catch a variety of species.
