Nearly wide open bonito bite at times on the boat. I haven't seen it like that in a while. Unfortunatly I boated none of them but was able to get my share of calicos. My buddy however caught eight bonito on my good rod (which I lent him). If you do go out for these scrappy fish make sure you take a set up that is able to cast a flylined anchovie away from the boat. It made a huge difference. The stardust crew does a great job on keeping the fish fresh by bleeding them right away and keeping them in the bait tank until filleted. If you like sashimi or seared tuna you need to try these local bonito. I was very suprised by how good they are. Get out there, they will be gone soon.
