#3221, "Super Plastics, whatever happened to?"

Remember a few years ago, Strike King and a few others had this crazy new plastic that could literally stretch a fluke to like 3 feet and it wouldn't break or tear or anything?

I recall there were fluke baits and senko style baits, and people developed new hooks for these types of plastics, cuz they wouldn't ride on the hooks well, etc.

Whatever happened to that type of plastic? I mean, I can see how bait makers realized that if a worm lasts for 5 years and can be re-used, it dries up sales in a hurry, but still, that conversation had to have happened prior to them releasing it.

Actually, just checked the Strike King website, they call it ElaZTech...and it appears to still be available...

Is Strike King truly the only ones with type of super plastic? Has anyone seen the ability to purchase this type of plastic in liquid form to mold you own baits from?

Sorry for all the questions!
