#108, "My Mattlures bluegill and soft trout"

Hey guys I am finally done and ready! here are some pics of my baits. The bluegill in the tank is just sitting in there. It hase no line tied to it. Thats the way it sits on the bottom! it will sit up like a weeble woble. If you lightly twitch your rod he will peck the ground like a bluegill robbing a bed. The other pics are of my trout. the 10in is in a dark rainbow color and the 8in. is a palomino, california golden, lightning trout color. The bass mout is of my 11lb 12 oz Jennings bass that I mounted. I only do taxidermy for myself, but I just wanted to show how easily a bass can eat the bluegill.
The trout have a nice action. The head moves side to side. They look like they are swimming.
The bluegill is very versitile. It can wake the surface with a medium retrieve. It also can be flipped like a jig becaue it always sitts upright.
Obviously It is an incredible bed bait. I usually can get the female to bite within 15min.
and because its a bluegill she tends to be the agresive one. It has a very fast tail action when used like a crankbait. It looks like a bluegill running for its life.
I hope you guys like them.
P.S. Rob your new Bluegill will be sent out friday
For info on them email my partner at louisulrich@hotmail.com
Thanks
Matt

Yo Matt,

Got the opportunity to check out one of your bluegills this morning.
AWESOME dude!

No doubt on why this bait would fool even the biggest and wisest of fish.

Great Job!

Keep it up :)

Matt, very nice!

I made an attempt to buy one of the bluegills, but unfortunately you don't accept PayPal. ;( Hope that's in the future, cause I know I'm not the only one that won't send a check or money order. It's just too much trouble when there's the convenience of PayPal.

thanks guys,
Sorry about the no paypal. I am just starting out with this so give me some time. I hope to have a website soon and maybe I will have an easyer way to accept payments. For now though, we can only take cash checks or money orders. As far as wieghts, I am not sure, but the heads inside of the trouts are around 2 oz. and the bluegills weight is around 3/4 to 1 oz.
Castro I seen the picture of your 4 eyes in, I think it was Basswest mag and it looked great. I like the illusion idea! But dont worry I dont copy other peoples ideas.
Matt

Matt, just in case you didn't know, you don't have to have a web site to accept paypal. All you need to do is set up a PayPal account and have an e-mail address. It really is that easy. As long as you have an e-mail address, we can send you money.

If you feel that way Matt ok
Can always tie on a blade in front of the lure to help with the illusion?

You don't have to worry about me making a soft plastic fish with hooks ???

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.calfishing.com/dc/user_files/2209.jpg

This is the closes I can get for now... ;-)
Want to see action video? email me.

What is confusing to me example:

a lead head jig
everyone went out and buys and been using the same jig? (same jig) No
someone went ahead and added a rattle
someone added a flat head for the jig to stand up right.
someone decided to tie round rubber in place of buck hair.
someone added a weed guard (that was like buying slice bread)
someone added a EWG hook - and so on..
But still is a jig

Don’t make me start with spinner/buzz baits..
It would be hella boring going into a taclke shop that sold only one.
Do you see where I’m going with this?

You know! put your mind to something - and things start to happen :)

We could go on about what makes my bait similar but different.
I started off with the attent of making some good even better.
Sure I can go off and share with you the differences.

But it sux to see guys going about a pissing match.

For a number of years I've notice in this Bass fishing arena.
Guys are kind of protective of what they consider their fish.
Oh yea sure when it comes to bragging about hooking into the biggest fish.
Or we got into them and just slammed them. Guys want the biggest dick.

I'm over it... Just want to hang out and catch fish.
Better yet take someone out and have them hook up and catch fish.
Sure this is a great place to share information on a trophy forum.
But that’s what I thought it was about sharing information?

Yes I make lures
Yes I believe it’s hard work.
Yes I enjoy seeing people catch fish on what I have hand made.
Yes it is a business.

Thanks Matt for your devotion and comments
Are you going to sell me one of your bluegills or not? I think there great!
I left you guys a email haven’t heard back till I read this message..

If you like you can Email back directly.

hey castro,
I hope you didnt misunderstand my post. I didnt mean that you copied anybody. I meant that I liked your idea of the four eyes creating an illusion of more than one fish. and even though I liked your idea I would not use or copy it because it is YOURS. I totaly like your baits!
I am absolutely going to sell you some baits. We did not expect as many responces as we got so right now louis is busy responding to them. I will check and make sure we take care of you. I will also look into paypal for you guys
Thanks
Matt
