Depends on what you plan on throwing...
for wood baits the 807 should be good...
heavy rubbber baits (stocker, rago soft baits, optimum) the 808 is probably better...
the 808 can however throw the smaller wooden baits but i feel its a little stiff for them....

the lightest thing im going to throw is probably a 9 inch slammer and the majority of my baits are 9 inch soft baits I will probably only throw a few baits smaller than 9 inches jsut a few 7.5 inch ragos and 7 inch ospreys.

For really any of the treble hook big baits the 807 is the right rod. It is somewhat stiff, but also parabolic, allowing you to reel into the bass when it hits your bait. You want a rod with even-load for those treble hook baits so your rod puts pressure on the bass, so the hooks stick. If you fish a rod that is too fast in the tip, or too heavy to load up, you'll pull the bait away from the bass, at least with treble hooked baits. The 808 is a better rod for any single hook baits, where you can actually set the hook when bit.

still cant decide if i want the 808 or the 807, the lightest baits that im going to be throwing are a 9 inch slammer and 7.5 inch ragos and 7 inch ospreys as long as its not to heavy to throw those then im fine. What do you guys think?
