#3773, "Met my new years goal early this year!"

Well I wanted to catch a 10+ on a swimbait this year and yep I cought it tonight at about 1 am

Started the night off right with a 5lb2oz on the real cal first cast

http://www.calfishing.com/gallery/v/members/tmcustoms/1/000_4909.JPG.html

fished the real cal like 20 more cast w/ no luck switched up to a rat I carved much like the rago yet it is about 5.5" long body and weights 3+oz so it will get down pretty deep color was blk/pink

2nd cast on the rat 4lb2oz

http://www.calfishing.com/gallery/v/members/tmcustoms/1/000_4915.JPG.html

25+ more cast no bites so I walked down the bank abit and yep thats when I hooked a fish that was as fat as she was long :+ This fish was a tank! Fought me real good even on 20lb

http://www.calfishing.com/gallery/v/members/tmcustoms/1/000_4920.JPG.html

Anyhoe it had been alongtime since I cought a 10+ and now I got one got a pic weighed her let her go and even cought her on my own bait! Pretty cool I'm happy :+

Hey let that Bass go I wanna catch her some day

Nice fish man! Gotta love catching fish on your own baits! I used to make poppers and it was SO much cooler when I caught fish on the poppers I had carved and painted.
BTW... what kind of scale are you using?

Matt

If I have a scale and weigh what I thought was a 9lb bass on it and it reads 12lbs, I think I would have my scale checked. Scales are inacurate alot of the time. That is why guys are always calibrating them. Check that scale dude!!!!
P.S. I swear I am only trying to help.

Wow bassrbig... Do you have a hard on for TM or something? You register just to bash the size of his fish on here and then post up a guess the weight post on swimbait nation. He catches a double digit ( on a bait of his own creation no less) and all you can do is bash him with NO proof.

TM... props on catching a DD on your own bait... in my mind that's a bigger accomplishment then just catching a 10+.

::JOKE:: we know you werent night fishing... you just blacked out the kitchen in the background :P ::end joke::

Come on guys....be real. That's all. If your not in the club then deal with it! It is not with TM, it is with all who LIE about weight. You know we all see it. Why does no one say anything? Sorry to be the one, but you know you were ALL thinking it. If you want to "fit in" then be truthfull. That's all. Great you made your own bait, awesome. You caught a "large" bass on it, great. But tell the truth......

I know you all hate this posting but....
DONT EXAGERATE...

bassrbig,
Calm down man... I have seen pics of fish that I thought were bigger than they say. I have seen the opposite. It really doesn't matter, were you there to wittness the fish? That really is the only way to be sure.
Sorry TM someone has to mess up your post like that. Dont let it bother you. Keep up the good work.
JARED :-)

Enough with the nonsense. Any additional posts about how much the fish weighed will be removed.

Taylor - nice fish, and thanks for the hitch pics.

I think the main point that needs to be made here is TM caught a nice fish and he released it. Those are the two facts I like to concentrate on.

TM, good fish, nice job on the release. Good luck on your next DD!

Congrats Taylor. Pretty cool feeling to get a DD on one of your own baits huh? Oh yeah, YOU AND FISH CHRIS STAY AWAY FROM MY GOLDFISH RECORD!!!! Your goldfish was much pretier than mine.

Thanks Matt! I hooked into mabey a 3lb+ long white finned goldfish tonight but she got off. Like Chris said I think the pretty goldfish are a completley different breed than the one you cought probably dont get as big.
