#14628, "Grissom Island, 12-21-08"

Fished Long Beach Harbor sunday night. First time in a floattube in 8+ years. I still like the yak better, but the tube sure is easier. My friend Steve and I only fished from 7:00-9:30pm but I had 12 bass, 7 or 8 legal. Best one was a sandie about 2.5lbs and a spottie that was maybe 2lbs. Best bait was a t-rigged (w/a glass bead) 4"tube that's a orangish/beige w/black and silver flake. That got the spottie and the big sandbass. That salt shaker, and brushhog also caught fish. Got a new thing to try so I threw it also. It's called a hyspin, made by Edge. It turns a regular jighead into a spinner bait and took down 3 sandies.

I fished from Steve's Fishcat and I gotta say they are nice. High and dry all night. We spent the whole time fishing the area around the tender dock. Never bothered to go around to the backside.

You can't catch it again if it's dead!

What's up Ed! It's been a long time since I have visited this sight, and what do you know... Amish Ed pops up for a report. Good to hear from you and I hope all is well. Also good to hear there are still fish willing to bite at Grissom. Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you more bites. Talk to you Soon,

Terry G.

Grissom does still have a few. T-rigged tubes do work. In fact I think it's the only way I've used them, besides on the Sledhead.

Hey Terry, good to hear from you too. The last year pretty much stunk for me, didn't fish much at all. This coming year should be much better.
