Yep, a new lake record at San Pablo. Man I wish I could spend more time up there. And caught on ye olde power bait/nightcrawler combo and killed. How depressing.... I could just cry.

I read that he couldn't resesitate it, that seems somewhat believable, I mean an 18 lber on 4 lb test, that would take a lot of energy from the bass, but I still would have tried till it was floating in my hands...

as I have said many times before, we need to remember to slam the "idea" of killing large fish, instead of the angler who does it. Education is the key !
But it is in the nature of human beings to ignore and turn away from anyone who is slamming them. However by being a little more gentle and just presenting the facts in a smooth way, you can accomplish so much more !
I will even go so far as to mention a couple of nice bass (not tens) that I put on my wall some years back, and how I eventually ended up regretting it. This kind of puts me on there own level. They pay so much more attention to what I am saying that way !

But about that fish.........What a monster huh ?

Great fishin' to all !
