#91, "biggest bass you've ever seen"

So what is the biggest bass you guys have ever seen with your own eyes? Anybody out there seen one they thought was over 20 or even the world record? The biggest I have ever seen was at San Pablo a few weeks ago. Don't know if it was bigger that my 15-12 but I think the fish could have been as big as 16 pounds.
Never seen one over 20 but I sure would like to!

At the Squidco in San Diego is the biggest mounted largemouth bass I've ever seen. 22 lbs or so.

the biggest I've seen is probably around 13, that was at layfette, that place has some really big fish in it.

I work at a lake and it is in the no fishing area , so i often see bass over 13 and i have seen about 2 or three over 17. i beleive last year i saw one that could have been anywhere from 18-21 lbs depending on density!!!!!

Yo Rye, are you getting technical on us now ? Ha! Ha! Just playing dude......
But seriously I have seen quite a few bass in the 15 lb range. Two of them last week at San Pablo Dam Res. About 4 or 5 at Berryessa over the last 5 years.
On my first trip to Pablo about 14 years ago, I saw one which I thought would go 20 lbs ! But admittedly, my biggest bass back then was less than 8 lbs, so I did not have much to go by. Last year at Berry I sighted one which I believe would go 18 lbs. Then about a week later I ran into a guy who worked on the lake (he seemed to be very knowledgeable and not full of @#$@) and claimed to have seen the lake record. Without telling him the spot, he described the exact place I had seen the monster. hmmmm

Last year at SCBBBC's Tourney of Champions I had one that was over 14lbs - know this because this spring I grabbed a dead one at Spring that weighed 14 on certified scales and I know my fish was bigger. 3" closer and I would have proven it. That's fishing!

Did anyone besides me go to Bass Pro Shops in Springfield Mo. and see Ethel while she was still alive. When she died she was something like 21 pounds. I saw her when I was 13 and she was AWESOME!!!! She was half heartedly chasing a newly introduced 5#r and looked like if she really wanted to she could've eaten him.

Tight lines,
Wade

A year and a half ago, my friend Brett and I came back to the Marina around 11am to get some lunch. As we parked the rental boat, and walked up the ramp, some absolute pigs were coralling a new batch of stocked trout. Right there at the ramp in plain view. There were three slobs, and undoubtably the biggest bass I've ever seen. I'd say 17-19lbs.

I haven't got one in the 'teens myself, but have seen a number of big fish in the open and at various weigh-ins and what not. These were the biggest fish I've ever seen in the wild.

I have seen one fish at Lake Mission Viejo that looked like she may be 18lbs. Maybe that was the one Mike Long picked off this past spring?

Funny that Mike fishes both Poway and Mission Viejo...maybe I should hit up Dixon too!

Matt
