Looking to get a new scale as the fishy in Clear Lake swam off with mine. Yea I know ,weird. Any ways I need a new scale and want one that saves previous weights and is easy to use and was wondering what everybody else uses. Do you like it ? And if yall have any suggestions. But I don't want it to cost me a whole lot. Suggestions appreciated

Sal... Go here

Lots of choices, that don't break the bank, and customer reviews.

The scale is great, very easy to use and pretty darn accurate. Get different culling bouys though. The ones that it comes with are garbage.

About the only thing I don't like about these scales is the 15lb weight limit. What do you do if you catch a 15.5?

Im pretty sure the 15lb is the max per fish not total weight. If I caught a bass that was 15lbs, I'm putting the scale back in my tackle bag and tieing the live well lid shut because I'm not opening it unless I catch a bigger fish😆.

The two I'm thinking of is the rapala and accurite one. Which is the one I lost. The one I lost did not cull weights. It Only saved last weight. I like that the rapala saves all weights and culls but the $50 turn me off a little and there were a few negative reviews. The accurite is $35 and all great reviews. Just don't know yet. Help me make my mind up.

Yo Sal I use that Rapala scale I've had mine for 8 years or so and have put a beating on it and it still works. I've always been happy with it.

Sal what's happening. My input might be late but I have the 15lb tapas and am extremely happy to know where to find another one. That gives you my opinion. Most scales weigh up to 25-50lb. I think the 15 gives me the most accurate reading on my fish. If I were to weigh all individually I was always within .25lb. Rapala has other scales that weigh like I said up to 25 or 50, but this is my tournament scale and I can't ever see needing more than a very accurate scale that weighs up to 15lbs. I have mine in ounces but do believe it does tenths. Also like Scott mentioned, it can take a beating. I've used probably 3, maybe 4 9v batteries over the past 9-10 years. It still works great but know that I know where to get another I will be doing it very soon. Again, 15lbs is more than you will ever need for a bass fishing tourney. If it's that big, there is no need to weigh it until you show it off. Also I you don't already have a balance beam is more important than a scale
