Good afternoon anglers, we made it off the dock with 22 passengers and due to wind on the outside and in the channel opted to head up the coast to check out some area we havnt fished in a couple weeks.
Our morning was very scratchy due to huge clouds if red crab on almost everything we looked at. Scratching 5-12 fish a spot we were able to piece together 2-3 fish per person for our first 2 hours of fishing. A couple spikes in activity allowed us to catch another 100 + Nice reds and Coppers and helped keep our anglers positive at the rail. Our last couple stops today yielded some very nice quality although lacking in numbers had smiles on everyone's faces and nice way to end the day.
Our 22 anglers ended up with 142 Reds, 61 Coppers, 17assorted Rockfish, 1 Whitefish and 1 Lingcod.
The Stardust is scheduled for a 3/4 day trip tomorrow and the Coral Sea is headed out on a half day trip as well. Both trips have lots of room and the weather looks to be improving for the weekend. Call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 for a reservation or feel free to just show up in the morning.
