Well, I hope everyone had a better turkey day than I. I participated in the annual Turkey bowl that my job holds and ended up spending half the day at St. Rose E.R. in Hayward. It's official, I broke my collar bone while playing, and go in to see a specialist tomorrow. Most likely surgery will be in order, and I will be out for 2-3 months. I reel in left handed, meaning fishing will also be out of the question, along with work. Anyone who knows me understands how much time I spend on the water, and this happening at the peak season for big baits...well, it's devastating. I guess I will have to fish vicariously through a couple of you, as I sit my bum on the couch. Best of luck to all the Nor-Cal guys this year, make me proud. I'm sure you will-!!!!

That's horrible news! Good luck with the doctor, keep us posted. Is there any chance of no surgery? Hope you heal quickly and get back on the water in time to slay them this spring.

dude x( I can barely reply to this post, I don't want to jinx myself! I got a mild concussion in old guy softball about 3 years ago and all I could think was crap, I hope I can fish next weekend. I hope you get healed up soon.

owww! I can relate to that. I will be going in for surgery in January on my shoulder from a broken collar bone, I certainly hope you wont have too. Sorry to hear that and get well soon.

Well, still sittin in the sling. Went in for surgery, and ended up cosulting with the surgeon for 45 minutes. Turns out its such a distal fracture, so close to the end of the bone, that I had some options. The Surgeon had a conference the weekend before, and brought up my particular break!! I have decided to let it heal on its own, and worse comes to worse have surgery in the future if it doesn't.
Round 2: Got my wisdom teeth out today as well...might as well do it all at once, right?! Anybody suggest and good fishing movies/dvds? I find myself sitting, staring at my bass in my tank...CABIN FEVER!!!
Thanks for all the support guys. Everything goes well, I might be fishin in a month. Tight lines all.
