1286, Fishing the Coronados this Friday.

We (a small group from another fishing site) leave this Thursday night on the Voyager. Check in is between 8pm and 9pm, leave at 10pm, return the next day around 6pm. We'll be able to start fishing sometime around 1am I think. Good for those of us who tend to not sleep until the drive home. The cost is $90, not too bad for an overnight. The forkies have been biting the iron lately, though I don't know the current situation. It's an open party trip w/ I think a max. of 20 people, w/ maybe 7 reservations so far. Hope to see some of you there.

at the middle grounds and had a nice fish rock him at south kelp ridge . good luck, wish I could afford it...

Sorry you can't make it. With out a job just to support my habit, and $100 left from my Christmas money I couldn't afforg it either.

Talked to Seaforth toady, the Voyager fished the beach out there yesterday. They got a few yellows, lots of slime sticks, and bass. Sounded like a decent trip, can't wait to get out there. Also, this could end up being a very light load. Only 8 reservations and the trip is a go.

Sounds like a blast. I'd be there too if I could fork out the cash. Shoot, I'd almost rather buy a mex boat permit for my kayak and paddle over from IB. Only about 6 miles.

Anyway, bring along a couple pounds of frozen squid. While you're stopped for the night, drop one down on a dropper loop and see what happens. Been lots of squid off La Jolla lately and I've heard the same for down there. Never know, might hook up a nice WSB or maybe a black. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Tight lines,
Adam

Shiiiaaat. I'll have a boat before I have a truck... If/when I do get a truck, it'll be the end of the summer. I've usually got pretty free use of the car though.

hey brian, why dont you do what I did when I was in high school, work on a boat. An overnight boat will pay you at least 69 bucks a day(or must do so legally with the new labor laws)and side money is from 25-150 bucks a day. I didnt have a car and would get dropped off for long 10-30 day stretches. Anyways, I always saved at least 10,000 a summer. Just a suggestion for ya. Definately an expierience especially on overnigh and multi day san diego boats..

Brandon,
Believe me, I've thought about that. I don't know, I'm not a huge fan of getting two hours of sleep a night, and then having to untangle lines and bait people's hooks. I've got a job lined up at harbor tackle right now, but maybe I'll mention to Jason sometime that if he needs an extra deckhand... Deckhanding is a lot of work, that's for sure.
