Was sure nice to finally have some good tuna fishing, we ended up with a dozen albacore & 2 tails for 2 of us without bait. Best 3 longfin went 77 & change. 6 ounces out of 2nd & 3 pounds from 1st. Had a few casualties including a very nice bluefin Ron was on for over 20 minutes before the hook pulled 50' under the boat costing us the tournament. A little tough to swallow.

The fish wanted the Sevenstrand Tuna Clones in purple trolled slow, 64.5 deg. water seemed to be key. If you draw a triangle from the 1010 to the 390 to the 213 we were right in the middle. 70+ miles from Ensenada in horid conditions.

Pat did an outstanding job running the event, great time had by all. Especially our 3rd team member who fell victim to my brother & wasn't back from the bar in time for our 1:AM departure so we left without him.

Still beat!
