236, Salmon! - Monterey

I was up in Monterey last week for a conference for work. Went up early and got out on "The Reelin'" April 8th. We were only a few fish shy of limits. All but one fish was caught mooching. I had one on a plastic but it fell off. Most fish were in the 8-10 pound range. A couple 13 pounders, an 18 pounder and my 29 pounder were the big fish. Most fish were caught in 60-120 ft. of water except for my big one which was only about 18 feet deep. It pays to experiment!! Got it on 15 lb. test with my light Loomis rod - really fun.<P>If you see my fish in WON they'll say it was 27 pounds but they weighed it after it was gilled and gutted and then estimated what it should've weighed. I weighed it on a cheap spring scale right after it was caught and then checked the scale when I got home.
