Rob I was also impressed w/ this baits action when I saw a guy throwing it at clear lake. Have you cought any fish on it yet?

I've caught a few fish on it, nothing big, like 2-3lbers. Those were on the 10" bait. The bait is legit, it gets bit. There's been a lot of money won on it this year in So-Cal.

Are they making any Hitch or Bass colors?

I don't have any but that's not to say there aren't other colors. The only colors I have are the ones pictured in the review. Your best bet would be to call Performance Tackle (562) 430-7671 or Angler's Marine (714) 666-2628 and find out what they have.

2 more ? do you know what the price is on a 7" and how much it weighs? If they have a bass or hitch I think I will pick one up.

Your questions are making me realize that I really need to have a standard set of information included in each review. The difficult part is that its not always possible for me to get all of the important information in a timely fashion. With your questions in mind, I updated the review with some additional information.

The 7" bait retails for around $45. The 10" is not in stores yet so I don't know what the retail is but I'd imagine it will be a bit more than the 7" The Triple Trout is a foam/composite type bait, I am not sure exactly what it is made from. The 7" bait probably weighs around 3oz but I can't find my wife's scale at the moment that weighs in ounces. The baits are extremely castable because of how compact they are and should IMO be fished on a soft, composite type action rod. A Rainshadow SW967 blank would be great, as would a Daiwa Heartland Big Bait Special. The rod reviews are back online after a brief hiatus due to my being slow to migrate them to the new site. You may view the rod reviews, complete with videos at:

I will (HOPEFULLY) be adding the Shimano Crucial X-Heavy review soon as well as bait reviews for the Bettencourt Real Fish Bluegill and Trout, Osprey Hard Body, Generic Top Trout, 22nd Century Swimbait Co. Swimstick, 3:16 K-9 and Top Dawg, Rago Bluegill, 22nd Century Nezumma Rat, Castaic Swimbait, and Osprey FBT. Oh, and there's a few videos I need to work on too... so as you can see, I have my work cut out for me and I expect it will take me my usual long time to get it all done. The important thing is that at some point it will get done and maybe some day, with luck and hard work, I'll be caught up on the reviews. There is one last feature that is in the works for the reviews as well right now that I personally am very excited about and hope to announce in the next few days. So this post got a lot off topic, but my message is, standby, stick with it, and keep checking back because thing will happen.
